Everything You Need to Know About the New Not Only Coffee Rewards Programme

At noc, we believe returning for your daily coffee should feel as effortless and fulfilling as that very first sip. On 29 September 2026, our Not Only Coffee Rewards Programme is getting a major upgrade.

We are moving from the dual system of separate “Points and Credits” to a single, unified currency: noc Coin. This change gives you more direct value, greater flexibility, and zero fuss.

Here’s your complete guide to what’s changing, how your existing rewards will transform, and how to get the most out of your new perks.

1. Simple Earning & Direct Value

Q: What is changing with the loyalty programme?
A: We’re upgrading from “Points + Credits” to a single currency: noc Coin, where 1 noc Coin = HKD 1 value. You can use your noc Coins to pay for any item in our physical stores, just like cash.

Q: How do I earn noc Coin on daily spending?
A: You earn a flat 5% rebate in noc Coins on all net out-of-pocket spending (paid via cash, credit card, or electronic payment) whenever you spend HKD 20 or more per transaction.

Spend HKD 20 → Earn 1 noc Coin
Spend HKD 39 → Earn 2 noc Coins (1.95 noc Coins, rounded up!)
Spend HKD 100 → Earn 5 noc Coins

Best of all, earning is no longer limited to physical stores—you can now earn noc Coins on our official Eshop as well! Simply link your existing Rewards Programme membership to your Eshop account when you first log in, and your earned noc Coins will automatically accumulate on all subsequent eligible purchases.

Q: If I use noc Coins to pay, do I earn more noc Coins on that transaction?
A: No. The 5% rebate applies only to non-noc Coin spending (i.e., cash, credit card, EPS, Octopus, or new top-ups, excluding promotional vouchers). This prevents an infinite loop and keeps the system fair for everyone.

2. Flexible Top-Ups & Higher Rebates

Q: What are the new top-up rebate rates?
A: Loading your card unlocks immediate bonus rebates:

Standard Top-ups (HKD 100– HKD 3,900): 5% instant rebate
Single HKD 4,000 Top-up: Elevated 8% total rebate
Single HKD 8,000 Top-up: Elevated 10% total rebate

Top-up amounts between thresholds (e.g., HKD 4,500) earn the elevated rate (8%) on the threshold portion (HKD 4,000) and the standard 5% rate on the remaining balance (HKD 500).

Q: Can I still top up my card?
A: Yes — and it’s even easier! The minimum top‑up is now just HKD 100 (previously HKD 4,000). Top up in multiples of HKD 100 at physical stores or in‑app via the Member Centre, giving you more flexibility to reload smaller amounts anywhere.

3. Membership Tiers (Caffeinator, Collaborator, Curator)

Q: Are the membership tiers changing?
A: No. The three tiers—Caffeinator, Collaborator, and Curator—remain exactly the same, along with all your tier benefits (discounts, birthday rewards, milestone vouchers, etc).

Q: How do I upgrade or maintain my tier?
A: Your tier is still based on your net HKD spending (excluding the 5% noc Coin rebate) within a 12-month period:

Collaborator: HKD 4,000 spending
Curator: HKD 8,000 spending

The system will automatically upgrade or downgrade you based on your actual spending (top-ups included), just like before. Continue spending or topping up HKD 4,000 or HKD 8,000 within your 12-month cycle, and your respective tier extends for another full year!

Q: Does the 5% bonus noc Coins count toward my tier upgrade?
A: No. Tier upgrades are calculated solely on your actual HKD spending. The 5% bonus is a reward on top and it does not accelerate your tier progression.

4. Vouchers & Rewards

Q: What happened to the $50 Vouchers I used to earn?
A: They’re being retired and replaced by the new noc Coin system.

Why? Because noc Coins gives you immediate, flexible spending power without waiting to hit a specific milestone. You can now earn and spend rewards instantly on any item you choose.

Q: What about Birthday Rewards, Milestone Rewards, and Anniversary Perks?
A: These remain completely unchanged. You will still receive:

Birthday Reward Cash Vouchers (based on your tier).
Milestone Rewards ($50 Cash Voucher, Retail Discount Voucher, Pourover Voucher).
Double Points (now Double noc Coins) on Anniversary Day (15th–16th August).

5. A Seamless System Transition

Q: What happens to my existing Credits and Points on 28 September?
A: Your past loyalty is fully protected! Our system will automatically upgrade overnight between 28 September (22:00) and 29 September (05:59). You don’t need to lift a finger, your balance will transform smoothly:

Existing Credits: Convert directly at a 1:1 ratio (HKD 1 Credit = 1 noc Coin).
Existing Points: Convert at 5% of your total balance (100 Points = 5 noc Coins).

Our Promise: Any fractional total resulting from conversion will be rounded up to the next whole coin!

Q: Will my membership tier or expiry date change?
A: Not at all. Your current tier status and expiry date remain completely intact through the transition.

6. General Questions

Q: Can I transfer my noc Coins to another member?
A: No. noc Coins are non-transferable and non-refundable, just like Credits and Points under the old system.

Q: Do noc Coins expire?
A: Yes. To keep the programme sustainable, noc Coins are valid for 24 months from the date they’re earned. However, your total unexpired noc Coin balance will automatically extend for another 24 months whenever you complete any eligible, user-initiated transaction (in-store or Eshop earning transactions, noc Coin redemptions, or top-ups). Stay active, and your coins stay with you!

Q: Where can I use my noc Coins?
A: At all physical noc stores in Hong Kong. They cannot be used for online purchases at this time.
